Why I do what I do

On Message started as a side-hustle in 2020 to help others (and myself) through the turbulent economic times of Covid-19. I enjoyed the career coaching and teaching I was doing – and I've continued to do this, adding larger consulting projects to the mix to help organisations and people reach their potential.

My work’s a happy ‘coming-together’ of many different aspects of my career.

I’m a connector, communicator and project manager. I've spent 20 interesting years in senior engagement, communications and change management roles helping organisations put their strategies and plans into practice.

I know what makes organisations, people and careers thrive. I've learned a thing or two in my varied career - 11 industries, multi-nationals, private businesses, government organisations and charities.

I love working with people - and getting things done.

Outside work I’m happiest on my bike, in the garden or the bush, enjoying the company of interesting people or with my nose in a good book.

As a volunteer, I’ve been a proud mentor to some awesome young women. I’ve helped Bike Auckland spread the biking word. And I'm a dab hand at dishes at social enterprise Everybody Eats.
